Small museum with some great moderate hikes of highly historic site. Great living history weekends too!

Trails are well maintained. Views to historic sites in New York are great. This place is well marked for historical interpretation.

This place is well worth the price of admission ($5 per adult). There is no historic reconstruction here (although a few remaining foundations from historic buildings), but with a little imagination, combined with the various signs throughout the trails, there is a lot to learn about how the site was used during the Revolutionary War. The trail conditions were impeccable. Also, the place was dog friendly. It is directly across the lake from Ft Ticonderoga (also recommended), and on at least one of the hikes, you get a great view of the lake and the fort.
